The Army has revealed a new jet-powered drone capable of firing laser-guided missiles and fitting in a car boot. The drone, called the “AGM-114R9X Hellfire,” is designed to provide enhanced reconnaissance and strike capabilities for ground troops.
The AGM-114R9X Hellfire is also modified version of the Hellfire missile, widely used in military operations. The drone version, however, features wings and a turbojet engine that allows it to fly more than 1,000 miles at speeds exceeding 500 mph.
Equipped with laser-guided missiles, the drone can precisely strike targets with exceptional accuracy, minimizing collateral damage. This feature makes it especially useful in urban environments or situations where civilian casualties must be avoided.
