To all the unemployed graduates out there, here is my advice to help you navigate this challenging phase and ultimately land a job:
1. Stay Positive.
It’s essential to maintain a positive mindset throughout your job search journey. Remember that this is just a temporary setback, and there are opportunities waiting for you. Surround yourself with supportive friends and family who can boost your morale.
2. Networking is Key.
Make use of your network and actively seek out opportunities to connect with professionals in your desired field. Attend job fairs, industry events, and seminars to meet potential employers or gain valuable insights. Utilize platforms like LinkedIn to expand your professional network and reach out to alumni from your college or university.
3. Customize Your Applications.
Rather than sending generic resumes and cover letters, tailor your applications for each job you apply to. Research the company and understand its values, needs, and mission. This way, you can showcase how your skills and experiences align with their requirements, increasing your chances of standing out.

If you are struggling to land a job in your desired field, consider gaining relevant experience through internships, volunteering, or freelance work. This will not only enhance your resume but also provide you with valuable industry exposure, new skills, and potential references.

The Original Name Of State House In The Ancient Times Before It Got Its New Name
State House is the official residence of the president of Kenya. It was the prime minister’s residence from independence until 12 December 1964 when Kenya became a republic.
It has been the official residence of the president ever since. After independence, Government House was renamed State House. Although it remained the official residence of the Head of State.
This scenario has prevailed to-date with the late Mzee Jomo Kenyatta and President Moi preferring private residences as opposed to living in State House.
Government House in Nairobi, now State House, was built in 1907 in Nairobi to serve as the official residence of the governor of British East Africa, when Kenya was a colony within the British Empire.
The governor would conduct his official functions at the old Provincial Commissioner’s office next to Nyayo House and then retire to Government House for the day. It was designed by the British architect Sir Herbert Baker.
