Following the August 8th general election, women managed to secure 7 slots for the Governor. Unfortunately, many of the people don’t know who are the husbands to these wonderful ladies. In this article you are going to know all of them.
1. Murega Baichu
Robert Rimberia popularly known as Murega Baichu is married to the current Meru county Governor Kawira Mwangaza. Though Murega is married to a politician, he is not a politician but a musician.
2. Kamotho Waiganjo
Kamotho Waiganjo is a City Lawyer married to the current Kirinyaga County Governor Ann Waiguru. Anne Waiguru and Kamotho wed in a traditional union in 2019.
3. Sam Mburu
Sam Mburu is a known businessman married to the current Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika. This gentleman is said to have started from a humble background, working as a soft drinks distributor in Nakuru. Mburu is a director of Landmark Freight Services which is based in Mombasa and has two branches in China.
4. George Wanga
Wanga is married to Gladys Atieno Nyasuna Wanga, the current governor of Homa Bay County. She is the first female governor from the western region of the country.
5. Denis Apaa
Apaa is married to Cecily Mutitu Mbarire , the 1st Female and the 2nd Governor of Embu County after Martin Nyaga Wambora who finished his two terms as a Governor.
6.Dolamu Henry Oduwole
The late Dolamu was married to Wavinya Ndeti , a Kenyan politician and a business woman who is serving as the 2nd Governor of Machakos County until when he passed away at Nairobi Hospital where he was admitted after his blood pressure had shot up drastically in September 2016.
7. Fatuma Acheni
Fatuma Achani is the current Kwale county Governor. Among the seven newly elected female governor only Fatuma’s husband isn’t know though she says that she’s married and have kids.
